Special ALIVE 10/27

Led by Sports Play and Welcome & Care teams, we will play group games and pack care packages for our youth-alum college freshmen. Write encouraging notes and bring something to contribute:

  • Sr guys- hot cocoa packets and candy
  • Sr girls- girlie personal items (nail files, hair clips, nail polish…)
  • Jr guys- instant ramen (bricks, NOT cup o’noodles)
  • Jr girls- stickers, hard candy, hot cocoa packets
  • Soph guys & girls- toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, razors…)
  • Fresh guys & girls- school supplies (pretty pencils/pens, erasers, small notebooks…)

ALIVE on 10/20: CONSEQUENCES

Have you ever had a guilty conscience for a regretful past action? or wish you studied a little harder for that test? Our actions have consequences that God may use to reshape us to be more in line with God’s will. Join us for worship, small group and fellowship beginning at 7:30 pm in the Jr Chapel.

A few items to remember:

  • Operations Christmas Child shoebox gifts (collecting 10/20-11/5)
  • bring in donations for the college freshmen care packages (10/27)
  • print out new Nov-Dec calendar
  • invite a friend to see our featured movie End of the Spear at ALIVE on Nov 3

ALIVEs in October

You are invited to come to ALIVE every Friday in October, beginning at 7:30pm.

Some special projects in October include:

Operation Christmas Child from Oct 20-Nov5 - Make a Christmas shoebox gift for a child in needy areas around the world. See www.samaritanspurse.org for details on what to put in the gift.

Fall Harvest Festival on Oct 31 - sign up with Pastor Rocky at rocky@cbcgb.org to volunteer at our annual awesomely fun Halloween alternative program at CBCGB, whether it’s throwing darts at balloons, face painting, cosmic bowling, DDR, making cotton candy, etc.

Remember Darfur…

Please continue to pray and care about the horrific genocide atrocity in Darfur.

There will be a Darfurfast and rally on Thursday 10/5 (5:30-7:00 PM) to raise awareness and funds at the City Hall Plaza in Boston. See www.SaveDarfurMA.org for more details.
