Remember the true meaning of Christmas this year by

  • -uninhibited worship at all places, all times
  • -cheerful, encouraging fellowship at ALIVE
  • -sacrificial and generous faith-giving
  • -have an unrushed meal with a good friend you haven’t cared for in a long while
  • -serving God by helping others
  • -fearless declaration through baptism
  • -prayer & solitude despite the shopping madness
  • -surprise someone with an act of courage that expects nothing in return

This weekend’s line-up:

  • -ALIVE on Fri, Dec 15
  • -Baptism on Sun, Dec 17 at 1:30pm (Jeffrey Hwang, Andrew Lai, Bryant Wang)

For this weekend Dec 8-10…

Friday, December 8th, 2006

You will not want to miss ALIVE tonight! We have a special speaker named Jonathan Chen, who will share some important lessons he learned from making choices and how God brought him to a place of brokenness. It’s a great opportunity to bring a friend. Despite the cold weather, you will find this ALIVE is worth any inconvenience.

Also, in recent years, particularly our millenial generation Chinese-American youths are exhibiting emotional stress and despair related to academic pressures, driven perfectionism, changing family dynamics and usual growing pains. More than ever, parents and our youth ministry are working together to help our youth cope with stress and conquer depression. Our parents and teens are invited to participate in an Asian American Mental Health Research Project on the following 2 dates:

  • Sun Jan 7 11:15am -12:30pm
  • Sat Jan 13 7:30-8:45pm
  • We will NOT be holding a session on Sunday Dec 10 as originally indicated, due to busyness before holiday and NO church lunch being served this Sunday.

This is a timely collaboration with three Asian-American mental health professionals and educators. I encourage you to consider participating as you may discover something beneficial to your family. Please pick up a consent form, and reply to pastorsandy@gmail.com to indicate which date your family will come.
