Nothing is ever a perfect science with an application process, but for several years already, we have an guiding set of criteria for mission team application evaluations. It is provided here so that you can get a sense of your mission-readiness regarding each level and team.
The three confirmed trips so far are:
If you are interested to be considered for any of these trips (click here for an overview of Mission Trips 2007), and possibly Taiwan Mission Team 2007 (Level 3 - Overseas Mission), please speak to Pastor Sandy or Pastor Rocky before applying. There are only 10 guaranteed spots for Sr high youths on each of these teams, and the selection criteria will be used to place applicants. Please prayerfully consider how you will serve this summer, either in missions or community service or local outreach. May the name of Jesus be lifted up.
Pastor Sandy’s 9th grade girls- meet at 6:30pm at AMC Burlington Cinema to see “The Pursuit of Happiness” @6:40pm. If you need a ride from CBCGB, be there by 6:15pm. Bring $10-15 for ticket and for snacks at food court afterwards (optional). Pick up at the food court at 9:45pm.
Deacon Terry’s 9th grade guys- meet at 6:00pm at CBCGB for ride to go eat at Eagle’s Deli near B.C. Bring $15 for food. Pick up at CBCGB at 9:30pm.
Stacey Wei’s 10th grade girls- meet at Lanes & Games near Alewife at 7:00pm. If you need a ride from CBCGB, be there by 6:30pm. Wear socks. We’ll bowl until the balls get too heavy. Bring $10-15.
Jon Tang’s 10th grade guys- will meet at Jon’s family home in Lexington.
Kevin Yiu’s 11th grade guys- meet at Zech Tan’s house at 8:00pm.
Jason’s and Sr groups… please contact your small group leader for details on where you will be meeting for a fun bonding activity night.
For the best rate, don’t forget to register early for the retreat by this coming Sunday Jan 14.
This Friday’s Sr High ALIVE is a student led event. Come encounter the grace of God as you approach His throne of mercy and huddle with friends to call upon the power of God to rock your world.
Sunday 1/7 - Joint New Year’s Worship at 9:30am… no Sunday School… the special parent-teen meeting (Asian-American mental health study) that was originally scheduled at 11:30am is postponed until March (TBA).
