Money Money Money (Financial stewardship)

Led by Uncle John

In light of the anticipated global and personal economic troubles, we will explore ways to use our money wisely with God’s will and principles in mind. Are we living beyond our means? Are we spending what we don’t have? We will consider issues such as wealth, saving, debt, stewardship, greed, indulgence, investing, etc.

What you aren’t aware of can really hurt you (Asian American Christianity)

Led by Karolyn.

My father has always been quiet, distant, and commanding of respect. I’ve always felt that God doesn’t talk to me, is distant, and I’m afraid of him. Hmph. What other aspects of Asian American culture and mores seep into the way we perceive and relate to God in ways we’re not even aware of? What have we got down? Where do we need to grow?

A New Beginning… Are Your Ready?   (for 12th graders)

Led by Terry, Jon & Serena

So, you’re still weeks away from getting most of those precious admissions letters, but you’re already thinking about the nostalgia of high school and the new adventures that await you in the exciting world of college. This fall, are you ready to tackle all of the challenges life will throw your way? Will you be ready to play the role that God has prepared for you in your college community? In this workshop for college-bound seniors, you’ll get a glimpse into the daily life of a college student, and, through the leaders’ own personal experiences, advice on what you can expect to encounter as well as pointers on how you can better navigate through the sometimes murky waters of being a Christian in college. Questions are not only welcome, but encouraged.
