Volunteers for Revival Camp

Monday, May 11th, 2009

To CBCGB Sr High youths,

It’s so encouraging to me when you desire to serve the Lord and our church.  As announced, the Chinese Revival Camp needs volunteers to serve with the preschool, children and Jr High programs.  In order to offer maximum participation, I am authorized to recruit among our mission teams and other Sr ALIVE youths to serve from Sat, May 23 noon to Mon, May 25 after lunch.  It will be held at Stonehill College in Easton, MA.

Preference will be given to:

  • mission team members (for team building/training purpose)
  • experienced leadership skills (ie, song leaders, game leaders, small group leaders)
  • those who can help from beginning to end
  • those whose parents are attending the camp

You will be expected:

  • to be responsible to carry out all assigned duties
  • to provide safe and loving care to all kids (including those who challenge you)
  • to cheerfully respond to unexpected needs/changes as directed by adult leaders
  • to diligently help set up and clean-up classrooms
  • to be there the whole time unless excused / arranged otherwise

In order to be an OFFICIAL volunteer, you must:

  • email pastorsandy@gmail.com to get on the OFFICIAL volunteer list (she will confirm your assignments)
  • register through the official camp registration   (if you cannot read Chinese, please ask your parents to help)
  • you will be responsible to pay for your food  (not the registration fee)
  • some may have to pay for their rooms, or have to live with parents, if we have too many volunteers signed up, because I will be given a limited block of volunteer rooms

If you go, please have a prayerful and supportive spirit.  If we take great care and fun to the kids, the Chinese congregation parents can focus on seeking for spiritual revival.  Looking forward to an awesome ministry time with you,

Pastor Sandy
